The fourth developer beta of the rapidly approaching iPadOS 26.4 has been made available for developers. The corresponding public beta release also became available shortly thereafter.

These releases coming out so closely together indicates we are not far from a public release.

System Updates

New Emoji

According to the fine folks at Emojipedia, this beta brings the first set of new emoji that are part of Unicode version 17.0. Emoji available in this update include Orca, Trombone, and Bigfoot….I mean “hairy creature”.

Reduce Bright Effects

The accessibility feature “Reduce Highlighting Effects” has been renamed “Reduce Bright Effects” in Settings.
