Two weeks after the release of developer beta 2, iPadOS 27 Beta 3 is now available for developers. With the iPadOS 27 public beta coming sometime in July, this could be the release Apple uses for public beta 1.
Below is a list of the changes in this build:
- Expressivity and Pace Settings for Siri are now available in beta 3. In previous betas they either didn’t work or were disabled. As a reminder, the more expressive Siri is available on iPads with an M4 chip or newer and 12 GB of RAM or more (basically newer iPad Airs and iPad Pros).

- The post-update indexing text that showed up in Settings is now more descriptive about what is actually happening (indexing for Spotlight and Siri).

- The swipe region to pull down Siri seems to have been drastically reduced. In previous betas, you had to be fairly precise about where you swiped to get either Notification Center (swipe down from the time) or Control Center (swipe down from the battery indicator). Now the swipe region for Siri seems to have shrunk considerably, down to about where the clock is on the lock screen, making it less likely that you’ll invoke Siri by accident when trying to get to your notifications.

- Reminders gets a new updated icon with more of a Liquid Glass effect on the individual circles in the icon.
