Over a year after support was added in iPadOS 17, Microsoft has added external USB camera support to Microsoft Teams for iPad. This gives iPad users more flexibility in how they can participate in Teams calls. I prefer to use the USB camera attached to my Thunderbolt dock, and this update will finally make it possible.
iPads with a modern USB port (USB-C) and running iPadOS 17 or later are supported.
It’s worth noting that Apple does not yet expose a way for developers to select between available cameras, so Teams will always default to the external camera when it’s connected.
The latest version of Microsoft Teams can be downloaded from the App Store.
