Games on iPadOS are something of a blind spot for me, but I still love seeing big AAA titles make their way to the platform. Today we get another major release: Hitman: World of Assassination is now available on both iPad and iPhone.

Hitman: World of Assassination is a compilation of content from the three most recent Hitman games developed by IO Interactive. The series emphasizes stealth gameplay and gives players the freedom to complete mission objectives in multiple ways, whether through careful, methodical stealth or more action oriented approaches.
As you’d expect on a touch-based platform, World of Assassination supports touch controls, though you’ll almost certainly have a better experience with a connected game controller. The game also makes use of Apple’s MetalFX upscaling technology for improved visuals.
IO Interactive notes that Freelancer Mode, Hitman’s roguelike-style, single-player mode, will be added in a future update later this year.
The game is free to download and includes access to the ICA Training mission at no cost. Unlocking the full package costs $69.99, though you can also buy individual locations for $2.99 each. According to the App Store listing, installing all of the content will take up roughly 48GB of space, and you’ll need about double that free during the download process, so plan ahead if you want everything at once.
Supported iPads are the iPad Air (M1 and newer), iPad Pro (M1 and newer), and the iPad mini (A17 Pro). Supported iPhones are the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, and the iPhone 16 series.
