The eighth developer beta of iPadOS 26 has been released alongside iPadOS Public Beta 5. Both of these release come a week after the previous betas.

There don’t appear to be any user facing new features or changes in the build, as Apple gets closer to releasing the release candidate builds in September.

While the developer release notes call out several bug fixes, there are many issues that still remain, and likely will beyond the initial public release. As I’ve been writing a bit more on my beta devices, I’m noticing that multitasking on external displays continues to be a bit buggy and janky, and hasn’t really been getting better in recent builds.

Any new features that are discovered will be updated below.
