The second public beta of iPadOS 26 is now available for user testing. This release comes roughly two weeks after the initial public beta for iPadOS and Apple’s other operating systems. The size comes in at about 10 GB on an M3 iPad Air.
This build should have the new features and improvements as Developer Beta 5, which was released a few days ago. That means it includes updates like the new AirDrop icon, an always-visible menu bar on external displays, and a handful of minor design refinements. You can read more about these changes here.
If you’d like to try the public beta of iPadOS 26, or any of Apple’s other OS betas (excluding visionOS), you can find setup instructions here.
