The release candidate build of iPadOS 18.6 is now available for developer testing.

On an M3 iPad Air, this update comes in at about 7 GB. For whatever reason, the OTA build was labeled as Beta 4, but the Apple Developer portal confirms this is the release candidate build.

The corresponding public beta build should be available in the next day or so.

The release notes for this build seem to confirm there are no new features in 18.6.

Assuming no big issues are discovered, the final iPadOS 18.6 release should be pushed to the public in the next week or so. This is expected to the final major iPadOS release ahead of iPadOS 26 in September.
