Update: 01-26: Based on an update to Apple’s security releases page, it looks like iPadOS 18.7.4, iPadOS 16.7.13, iPadOS 15.8.6, and iPadOS 12.5.8 were also released today. It looks like the new AirTags require iPadOS/iOS 26, so based on what the internet is saying, these looks like they’re certificate updates so that various Apple services don’t break.

Alongside the announcement of the new AirTags, Apple has just released iPadOS 26.2.1. While the update in the Settings app mentions bug fixes, tapping “learn more” only mentions AirTag support. So who knows what, if any, bugs were fixed.
