A few days ago, Apple CEO Tim Cook warned us that Apple would soon have to raise its prices due to an increase in storage and RAM prices.

Unfortunately, “soon” has finally arrived, as Apple just updated the US online store, raising prices not only for the iPad, but for most products in its lineup.

Higher prices on the Apple Store

iPad Pro

The iPad Pro sees a $200 price increase.

11-inch iPad Pro goes from starting at $999 to $1199

13-inch iPad Pro goes from starting at $1299 to $1499

iPad Air

iPad Air sees a $150 price increase.

11-inch Air goes from $599 to $749.

13-inch Air goes from $799 to $949.

iPad

The iPad sees a $100 price increase, going from $349 to $449.

iPad Mini

The iPad Mini sees a $100 price increase, going from $499 to $599.

Conclusion

This really sucks. I’m sure Apple held off raising prices as long as they could, but in the current economic environment, with everything else in the world getting more expensive, this is a real punch in the gut.
