A little bummed with the indefinite delay of Blender for iPad? Me too.
However, Maxon is expanding its iPadOS support by announcing the forthcoming release of Cinema 4D for iPad.

Cinema 4D is a professional 3D modeling, animation, and motion graphics application developed by Maxon. It’s long been a staple in broadcast design and advertising, largely thanks to its tight integration with Adobe After Effects.
Maxon says that Cinema 4D for iPad can be used as either a complement to the desktop app or a standalone solution. They also note that the iPad version’s functionality will “continue to evolve over time”, signaling that the initial version of this app won’t have all of the capabilities of its desktop sibling.
The iPad app will deliver the core 3D modeling and design experience, but also be optimized for the iPad’s touch-first interface.
A beta version of Cinema 4D for iPad will be previewed at NAB 2026 (April 18–22), and interested users can already sign up to participate in the beta.
The app is expected to be released in late 2026.
While the app will run on an iPad with an M2 chip, Maxon recommends a device with an M3 chip or higher for the best experience.
Further Mobile Expansion
Alongside the iPad announcement, Maxon also announced that its broader ecosystem, including ZBrush, Cinema 4D, Red Giant tools, and Redshift, is now available natively on Windows on ARM, bringing support to devices like the Microsoft Surface Pro and other ARM based Windows devices.
