Remember how I posted about iPadOS 17.7.7 being released with security updates and mentioned that some people might be having issues with it? Welp, turns out that was indeed the case, and Apple pulled the update. It looks the update caused a number of bugs, including apps resetting their state and not remembering their logged in state.

iPadOS 17.7.8 is now available with no additional release notes, so in theory this should correct the issues people noted with iPadOS 17.7.7.

I’m not seeing any chatter about it on social media, so hopefully no news is good news.

This release is only applicable for the iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2nd generation, iPad Pro 10.5-inch, and iPad 6th generation.

iPadOS 17.7.8 should be available for affected iPads via software update.
