Apple has apparently corrected the tech specs page for the M2 iPad Air to clarify its chip contains 9 GPU cores, not 10. The M2 iPad Pro came with 10 GPU cores, so it was logical to assume that the same chip was being used in this year’s Air model.

Its rare to see such an error on Apple.com, but customers shouldn’t feel too shortchanged. That extra GPU core would contribute to slightly better gaming performance and system responsiveness (many iPadOS frameworks are GPU accelerated), but the improvement would be marginal and likely only be noticed in benchmarks, not real world use.
