The first (and hopefully only) release candidate for iPadOS 26 is now available for developer testing.
What’s New in iPadOS 26.3 RC 1?
This release is not expected to bring many new features, and should be a bug fix update. Apple isn’t calling out what bugs are being addressed, which makes it a bit difficult to say what’s been fixed. Anecdotally, if you’re running into the issue where some of your notifications have square edges instead of rounded ones, that appears to be addressed in this release.
System Level Changes
Nothing new is noted in the release notes, so we’re left with just the changes that were noted in Beta 1, namely an improved process for moving device data to an Android device, and support for notification forwarding in the EU. The notification forwarding option no longer shows up on my iPad here in the US.

When will iPadOS 26.3 Be Released?
If Apple sticks to their usual release patterns and no big issues are found, iPadOS 26.3 will likely be released sometime next week.
