Game developer Feral Interactive announced today that the 2013 Tomb Raider game will be coming to iPadOS, iOS, and Android on February 12, 2026.

Tomb Raider 2013

The game, simply called Tomb Raider, served as something of a reboot for the franchise. It explores the origins and early adventures of series protagonist Lara Croft, featuring what was, at the time, the highest-fidelity graphics the series had ever seen. The game was originally released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.

Game Details

The announcement blog post was light on technical details, but it does mention (emphasis mine):

Whether using intuitive touchscreen controls, mouse & keyboard, or your favourite gamepad, soon you’ll be delving into Yamatai’s ancient ruins on the go, and fighting for survival against the cultists who prowl its depths.

I’m not sure how literally to take this, but it would be exciting if mouse and keyboard were actually an option for iPadOS users. I personally wouldn’t consider this an ideal mouse-and-keyboard game, but so few games, if any, offer this as an option that it would still be great to see.

Since this is a game from 2013, I wouldn’t expect the graphics to pose much of a problem for more modern iPads, even though they are passively cooled.

System Requirements

  • iPad: Supports iPads with an A12 Bionic chip or newer, running iPadOS 18 or later
  • iPhone: Supports iPhones with an A12 Bionic chip or newer, running iOS 18 or later
  • Android: From the Play Store listing – “A full list of supported chipsets will be announced closer to release.”

Availability

Tomb Raider is available for pre-order on the App Store, or you can pre-register on the Google Play Store. The game is currently scheduled to launch on February 12, 2026.
